Got an email from Hertz recommending all of these other companies that are hiring during this “temporary furlough.” I think the fact that they are showing us other companies is their nice way of saying we’re permanently letting you go in a week, so get a jumpstart so you’re not on unemployment too long

With no one travelling, I hope Hertz extends the furlough and continues to pay for the medical. That way employees can continue collecting unemployment, have health coverage for themselves and dependents. Although it may financially be a struggle, I feel this is a better scenario. I will feel safer returning back to a job maybe in June/July. For those who are not interested returning to Hertz, (if that is a possibility) can start looking for other work, starting in June/July
If people are not travelling, people are not renting.
But will they stop paying for our medical?
Why would anyone even consider going back to a company that throws you out the door the first sign of trouble. If this would have been with pay,it would be a different story. Goodbye Hertz, thanks for nothing!
