Thread regarding J.B. Hunt layoffs

Isn’t it about time to review the CIO and nepotism?

Public and shareholders should really be aware of this company’s CIO and Technology Division and the practice of nepotism in his organization structure.
There are so many Directors, Senior Directors, Vice Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents that have followed S.S (CIO) from one company to the next.
Many of these people are brought in with little to zero knowledge of the transportation fields or technology in real practice.
Promoted up the ranks at breakneck speed and without any oversight. Some are obviously and strictly diversity hires that began at management level and are now VP’s within 2 years. Diversity hiring is fine. Nothing wrong or inappropriate with that. But when it’s clearly favoritism and this/these hires are not at that level or the level they came to our company at- that’s nepotism.

A basic definition of favoritism is when a manager or boss gives more opportunities or benefits to one employee over others for reasons other than skill and performance. ... Nepotism is a form of favoritism, for example. Whether, employers intend to play favorites or not, it creates an uncomfortable work atmosphere.

I tried to do a count of all these Sealy transplants. So far around 20 plus. These “leaders” are steering the company’s E&T division right into the ditch.
Most care only about themselves and what it takes to look good. If you date question or try to offer up ideas; you get a screaming, get in your face, and pointing at you. Telling you that you’re an a$$ hole.
They don’t want to hear success stories and approaches other companies have done with success. Why; because it’s not their idea.
I don’t know how it goes unnoticed that all these Sealy transplants coming in know jack $hit, and jack just left town.
Or the obvious jump up the ladder with all this pay and benefits. While the workers get zero bonuses, poor raises- that are even reduced to pay for all these Sealy jack offs salary.
Millions of dollars spent on a new transportation project that can’t get off the ground.
Yet here they are, still giving each other big group hugs for some of the lamest BS.
Need to layoff or straight up fire these a$$ pimples for even having the audacity to think they could come from a mattress company and build a next generation software system to run 1 of the largest trucking companies.

Heck, around the E&T division most all the people in leadership roles are from Sealy - the mattress company. Every time you turn around there’s a new person from Sealy. I’ve heard that some areas are pressured to hire these people only because a friend or spouse is working at JB Hunt. Most don’t even know what they’re doing or have false experience in order to fit an open slot.
So I too agree with the irony and obviously the favoritism shown that the poster has relayed.
