I submitted my Emergency Paid Leave Request 4 days ago now and have not heard a thing. I am considered 'High Risk,' easily got a doctor's note, which I attached. When I log in and pull it up it says "awaiting info," but does not say info from whom. Our store manager specifically told me NOT to bring the doctor's note in. I'm just wondering, and don't know if this is how it even works; but could the stores possibly be setting us up for 'job abandonment' so we can't file for unemployment IF it's the store deliberately not submitting what is required just to punish us for not risking our life being there, even though some of us are high-risk, with underlying issues? For any of you who actually got approval, how long did it take to receive that?

As soon as employee send in there info on Lowe’s net We start them immediately. You don’t have to wait for it. We add it into your time card right then.
I was approved in less than 24 hours
I too put in my emergency paid leave yesterday. My parents are both high risk and my Lowe’s was exposed. I hated coming to work and I hated that people were still shopping (for non essential things) . I don’t see why Lowe’s is an essential business in times like this. I’m missing days of work and it makes me nervous that I’m going to lose my job. My HR isn’t answering her phone. I’m just feeling really frustrated.
My coworker had hers approved within hours of a Dr appointment. They tried to cancel my vacation 2 hours after it started 🤬🤬
Thought the high risk goes through the store manger now.
One of the guys in our store was approved in less than a week
You should trust Lowes just as far as you could pick up the store and throw it. So you are correct in being skeptical about every word they say and every promise they make. Your delay is perhaps just a backlog issue with the 3rd party HR, but with these goons, one can never be too sure.
