No inventory despite claims to the contrary (and different systems claim three different numbers, all wrong). Missed delivery dates. This isn't even the thirtieth time something like this has happened. Why does it take an act of Congress to make this right? This is why Sears has failed.

Sears bollixed up a refrigerator delivery for us some years back, pushed it out a week because they messed up and had no interest in keeping our business. We cancelled the order, bought one at Best Buy that came within a few days, and never ever tried to buy a Sears appliance again. And in the 20 years we've owned this house, we've bought a LOT of appliances.

And he probably would have gotten the fridge rightaway at a competitor.
