NS was supposedly fired for initial terminal delay at Tucson, GF is just trying to keep his job. Granted you don't release hand brakes while in blue flag protection, he wasn't telling the crew to release the brakes, he was only asking and the crew explained why they couldn't. No harm, no foul.
