I like the guy who said to stay focused and keep working. Reminds me very much of Jeff Skilling with Enron selling all his shares while rank and file lost everything. Also every investment is not a gamble. representations were made about the company the stock the assets and people relied on those representations. If they were false or misleading that's fraud. You don't get to back out by saying oh well everything's risky. For the longest time the big bet was one day BP would ride in and buyout Chesapeake. Problem now is there may not be any assets anyone is that interested in buying at least not enough to be a white knight. What could that mean? True BK all assets sold creditors paid cents on the dollar if that and Chesapeake ceases to exist. OCU. Buys the campus.ifit were me I would spend 8 to 5 faxing my resume.

"and while this Exec comp 8K thing feels shady at least us peons get a little advance too" it's shady as f– that the top 21 people get 25 million and the rest share probably 10 million

And how, pray tell, would you suggest that? Their wallets are so fat they aren't going to feel anything through all that padding.

If you're an investor, sorry. Investments are gambles. Sometimes the ball lands red when you bet black. CHK was uber-high-risk an you knew it.

If you're an employee, try to stay focused, keep doing your job as best you can in the current environment, and take a little pride in your own work for your own sake. I'm as tired of re-arranging deck chairs on the titanic as the next guy, but the market doesnt provide a lot of other options at the moment. Ride it out, work hard, learn something new, and s— it up. O&G ain't for p*ssies. Be glad we haven't had big furlows or pay cuts or even bigger lay offs than we have, and while this Exec comp 8K thing feels shady at least us peons get a little advance too. Put it away for a rainy day. It's going to be a rough ride.
