Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

I'm done with this place

Does anybody else even try anymore? Cares enough to try? I'm well beyond that point. I've seen people who gave their all to this company be shown the door without a second thought while the majority of slackers never saw any consequences. So why bother? Now I do the bare minimum and pick up my pay. That's it. And if I get laid off, I'll deal with it. I'm just over caring and over worrying.

Think of it this way.... Sabre is a perfect candidate for the PPP Government Loan (Paycheck Protection Program), that being said, if they had any intention of bringing you furloughed folks back (to support the business that's declining) then they would have applied for the loan.

Just saying.... it's time to go look for another job. Sabre stinks, they don't care about their employees - ever - whether it's a downturn in the economy, no downturn, etc.. They keep the wrong people and get rid of the others that don't boast about how great they are.

Worst management team EVER and that's not an exaggeration. The entire time that I worked for them, I NEVER had a manager that was qualified for the position. They were either imported from India (shuffle their entire family to the USA) or promoted because they were a sacred cow.

Don't wait for them to call you back, go look for something else - there are excellent companies that truly care for their employees.

I left Sabre last October after 15 years of hard work.

Best - decision - of - my - life.

Stop expecting a miracle and just leave. Change your mindset and understand that you will apply your experience in a different industry, don’t limit yourself to hospitality. It will take time to find a new job as the economy recovers, but you will find it. And you will be happy. Good luck to y’all.

Intrinsic motivation isn't enough. Getting jaded doesn't come overnight. Even the most motivated worker can get demoralised by how an organisation handles its people.
