Top revenue generator! That’s some accolade, and totally worthless if your not turning a profit. Let’s face it, the business model was screwed well before now - why’d you think Nalco jettisoned their upstream business? Top revenue generator ! Such id–ts here. Chemicals is now the leading revenue generator for North America. The facility is owned. I would agree they may move some other people but that facility is going no where.

Place is not leased. It is owned so they will move more BKR employees and contractors there.

Close it. Outsource it. Relocate what you can. Even if it costs $ to relocate, still cheaper than the roof top.
How would they close the office? The corrosion lab alone would cost millions to move. Dumbest fake rumor for a while.
It's not Baker screw up chemical. It is chemical itself screws up chemical....
Perhaps closing Sugar Land is a good strategy. Relocate them closer to the Rankin or even Woodlands facility to cross pollinate with the other product lines.
Baker is screwing up chemicals - has been the excuse for institutional fecklessness and incompetence for more than a decade. How many reorgs within chemicals? Does that sound like something a confident company would do? What, exactly, did Baker do to chemicals that chemicals did not do to itself?
Chemicals doesn’t need BHC as they have hindered their potential over the years.
Chemicals needs to operate like a chemical company. It’s the “which of these product lines is not like the others” and therefore needs to be a stand alone company.
BHC needs to get out of the chemical business.
Artificial lift and chemicals supporting everyone now. Why on earth would we divest them?
Chemicals should not be part of an "energy technology" portfolio anyway. Time to divest that entire product line.
Rooftop consolidation is a possibility.
Move the labs to the plants where they can support them directly
