Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Call tomorrow?

Tomorrow we are SUPPOST to get an email or phone call with an update for when we go back to work correct?
I would assume it will be different for different areas.

From what I can see online not everyone going back in Ohio yet. Larger bbb stores now offering curbside pickup as of today while others are still temporarily closed. Message from ceo now updated on bbb website.

Yeah I live in the DC area so I expect myself to be furloughed at least close to Memorial Day weekend since I can’t see stores here being opened before June 1.

all depends on your state governors laws right now if non essential places can open lots of states arent opening up yet so depends on where u r if u can open or not

Is there any proof that the call will be about opening back up and not about further furlough or possible people being let go?

Not sure if it's all dfw stores. I would think it would be if it's a company decision based by state. But that's purely speculative.

SM has already reached out to me. Our store/district is reopening this weekend in a curbside BOPIS capacity, with the store/district reopening to the public next Thursday (5/14). Masks are mandatory and if you don't have one, the store is required to provide you one. Ironically, our area (DFW) has seen a 37% increase in cases and 20% increase in deaths versus last week, with new daily highs for cases for 4 consecutive days. I realize the economic stress this has posed on the company, state, and country. But this seems severely premature and somewhat careless. Ultimately it's a state by state case, but nothing has shown me in Texas that the curve has peaked or started to descend. I worry about my safety and my family's now more than ever and some serious decisions will have to be made by all involved.

It has to be dif for dif states and areas of states, some governors are opening states with less cases and less new cases/spread some are staying closed or opening certain things/areas at certain times, so it will all depend on the states governors when non essential places can open
