More security guards are back to work at (undisclosed location) and they're once again cleaning and disinfecting the entire facility over the next two weeks. Obviously, this must be in preparation for calling people back to work. Anyone know more this, all I've got is this scant info.

Black Rock was officially on the market and marketed by CBRE if i remember correctly
Only thing online about Viacom selling any real estate is about Black Rock. Nothing else.

They're not selling anything in this economic climate. They even took black rock off the market because of that. I've not read anything official online about vcbs looking to sell the broadcast center.

Our current situation has effected all time lines. I don’t see any movement or even announcements until Q1 2021.

For those believing there isn’t enough room or studios at 1515 you are not understanding what is going on. Not everyone is coming back to1515. Many will be laid off. Some will remain working at home or be moved to office space on Long Island or elsewhere which will be MUCH MUCH cheaper than any place in NYC. Time Square is more eye catching and known location. Visually it will be more appealing and save $. That’s what this is all about. You don’t have to broadcast from the same facility you film. That’s not how TV works.
so will cbs news and sports move into a few different facilities to enable the sale of the broadcast center ? i wonder how soon this will happen

Studios will all be located in time square at 1515. The HBO facility is larger than Viacom’s and 100+ feeds come out of there. With everything going cloud you really don’t need that much space. HBO was recently completely renovated right before they moved though.

The current issue with the HBO facility is of cause price but at the same time equipment. HBO has taken a lot of their equipment out and the issue is what is left. Does ViacomCBS want to purchase that as well? If so how much for it? Will the transition be easier or harder? Will it effect the duration? Once those questions are answered it will be announced. Viacom, Showtime, CBS Sports etc can all be run out of one facility with A LOT less staff. Plus avoiding the cesspool of NYC.

they are not purchasing the old hbo building on long island. that would make sense. that is why they aren't doing it.

The NY broadcast center is up for sale. They are purchasing the old HBO broadcast facility on Long Island and moving everything there.
The earliest NYC employees will return to the office is June. Even then, it will be in phases. The return to work date will not be immediately after the date the state's Work From Home order is lifted.

What has happened to us? When are we going to wake up in mass from the programming? Yes, we all work in "programming". Leaders, celebrities, big tech, big pharma and the corporate system that controls them virtue signal and do everything they can to divide us, they constantly lie to us, and yet we listen to them and obey them, while allowing them to get away with doing everything they forbid us from doing. They don't care about us, don't give a damn that 96 year-old Grandma Mima died, other than that they have an opportunity to stomp on the memory of what was hopefully a beautiful life lived... Anything they can use to keep the little people in a mental prison and voluntary suppression. We all have to know that the overblown response to the virus will lead to exponentially more deaths than the virus itself... And unfortunately we have to consider leaders know this. are they even going to open east coast back up at all ? supposedly east coast building is up for sale, if east coast BC is sold the many people will get fired due to the sale alone in my opinion
Production might slowly trickle back - but non-essential, no way.
NY and California have governors who will not open before there is a cure or the election is over(which ever comes first). The plan was never about the curve. We all see that now. Most people here will never go back to work at ViacomCBS you will be laid off first.

?? west coast is under Gavin Newsome’s phase timeline...that has anyone who can telework - as many of us have been doing for about 2 months - returning to the office in phase 3- look it up. Only people who can not work from home at all will be back before mid/end of summer
west coast will open a month before east coast. Nobody even knows when east coast will open.
