Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Temporary shutdown

Is there a temporary shutdown if multiple associates test positive for the coronavirus? We are on our 5th associate.

I’m sure Lowe’s would find a way to keep the store open. Marvin needs his money, he is like an addict getting high with his love of money.

That being said there is enormous pressure at my store to get out early. Although we are schedule until 11 we typically leave between 10 and 1020, the latest I’ve clocked out has been 1023. This getting out early is so commonplace that full time associates have taken to clocking in early and taking shortened lunches to minimize the lost pay. This deep cleaning that we are to do isn’t being done. When I close it appears from the dust and dirt on most surfaces that they have not been cleaned in several days. I even drew a heart in the dust and it was there a week later.

It appears that the sermon we get every night about deep cleaning is for show just like the deep cleaning is.

Thier was a Walmart where 82 associates tested positive in MA. They are closed for a week. That said if Lowe's had to test all their employees I'm pretty sure you would find that most stores probably have similar infection rates especially in more urban areas.

We had our store close one day for a deep clean and then a couple days of curbside only, no customers allowed in. I think we would have stayed open but they had to quarantine almost the whole store at one point and get associates from nearby stores to fill in. We just didn't have enough staff. The store had 7 cases
