Belk is up there with jc penny in terms of sales. I’m surprised they haven’t filed bankruptcy yet

They are circling the drain, alright! Like that one chunk you just can't flush and it just goes round and round..
Funny thing is that recently Belk had attempted to adopt some of Amazon's business practices– from the formulaic approaches to scheduling, sales goals and credit applications, right down to stripping out break areas of any comfortable seating, removing decor, painting all walls a sterile, white color and plastering those clustered slogan tattoos all over employee-only areas– you know, the ones with all the words crammed together like Create, Inspire, Relax, Chill Out, Cooperate, Collaborate. That kind of sub-fascist, Neo-Nazi brainwashing propaganda.
I'm guessing a lot of retailers are getting federal stimulus money and are not closing stores or filing for bankruptcy just yet. Give it a few weeks and likely many stores will be hit hard. Businesses like Amazon, unfortunately, will become even more powerful.
