Thread regarding Belk layoffs

executives overpaid

Can someone tell me what would justify an executive making 300 or 400X the average employee, any opinions?

I can't even justify the fact that some stores have "leads" that are paid manager salary, get manager privilege and benefits, yet they don't have to be accountable for any work.

Like this one operations guy, for instance, who we'll call "Lollie", who is full time but not available on Sundays or particular weeknights which, conveniently, are truck nights. And every time there is a delivery, he's nowhere to be found– it's either a barber shop appointment, pedicure (yep, toenails folks!), extended lunch time (2 hours plus. Helps to bring the store manager pastries), or talk time with other "entitled" lazy types on the sales floor.

Then there was that incident in the fitting room.. but that could have been anybody, says Asset Protection. The light was low, the cameras outside didn't quite catch the faces, and let's face it, that's a popular hair cut and everybody's got the same look.

Never trust a guy who wears pink fuzzy Uggs to work.
