Here people are talking about layoffs, but Schwab has so many .net positions open. Don’t know why you guys feel layoffs coming? Am I not able to see, what you guys are seeing? Can someone share your thoughts 💭🙏

I have a doubt. What are .net positions? Is this an open stock position you acquire on the net, as in the super information highway? Please do the needful and address my doubt. Thank you.
I would say there are more Java positions open, for skilled people that are familiar with the entire Spring ecosystem, is experienced with principalities of 12 factor applications, understanding what it means make things cloud ready from the start, and is comfortable with the PCF ecosystem and how to scale there. A plus would be to also have experience with .NET Core. But .NET 4.7? Forget 'bout it. Visual Basic? No, not even the .NET version. Forget 'bout it. Julia, Python, and R? Go somewhere else that has a mature data science team, or is looking to commercialize ML models.
