The IRS is currently waiving the 10% penalty for those impacted by Covid-19 and taxes can be paid over 3 year period..

If you are over 59 and a half there is no penalty. If you want to avoid taxes roll it into a qualifying IRA or create an annuity. Good luck

You can cash it out once no longer employed but you will have to pay 10% penalty and taxes.
