Is Power on the chopping block AGAIN?

The current d rate slugs are nothing like the originals. They aren't from the same stock. They wear their Our labor built GE tshirts and think they were part of the fight. Sorry sonny boy but you didn't even get out of breath for the deal that you are lucky to have. It was the blood, sweat, and tears of your granddaddy that earned that deal. It was his labor that built GE, not yours. He knew his job, he did his job, and he did it really well. No naps taken! I know your mommy told you that you're special and since granddaddy was too busy working! He wasn't there to step in and correct you. You didn't earn what you have, so don't cry when you lose it. You were handed everything on a silver platter and all you had to do was take care of it with the same amount of effort that provided it in the first place. You couldn't even do that so sorry but not sorry. Enjoy your naps!!
Time will tell if the major concessions the union agreed too will probably not help the union slugs. Time for the union slugs to give back to our great company
I recall at interviews for GE that they said we would never load up the t rates with more Of a workload. That should of been a sign to stay away! Chased the American PIPE Dream and I left a great job for a false broken dream. To end up out the door just to end up starting over again over a pipe dream. All in all I’m glad I never went back and now I’m sitting home on layoff making $1130 a week. I’m Going back to work Monday and will be making more than a GE T Rate.
It’s probably all divisions. Aviation was the jewel and they did not hesitate to cut 25(!!)%. What do you think they will do to to the business units that are not important or lose money? What would you do, if it was your company?
They should split the corporation as they planned to. GE has a lot of great products that deserve a chance. With the fat accumulated on top of management structures, it is very low.
It’s funny when a military unit fails, they replace and court marshal the commanding officer. When GE unit fails, they execute privates :)
It must be GE GRC, which generates no revenue and yet with crazily expensive rate.
It's not really the D-Rate's fault. GE lied to them and they are lowly educated enough to believe the beautiful lies and to still be useful enough to GE while they easily get victimized. They now associate their hourly worth with their self worth. A big mistake to make because it creates a false sense of security. The difference between D-Rates and T-Rates isn't $10 an hour. The T-Rates have never trusted GE or the Union from the start. They told us the truth from day one that we aren't safe, that we don't matter, and that nobody will ever come to save us. That's why so many never came back when we were called back last year. Being treated like dirt by the D-Rates didn't help things. D-Rates on the other hand have been lied to since day one, believe they are safe, that they do matter, and that somebody will save them. You fools are being lead to the slaughter houses and laughing the whole way because you think you're getting a free chicken dinner.
It really is the d rates fault. I worked hard at 273 and the writing was on the wall. And the d rates didn't care
They all had that same attitude sleeping in cages all night watching movies. I hope they are enjoying it I had to go much happier now still come back to see the shhhhit show someone tell me about 273 hahaha hahaha haha
But most of you d rates are the problem with ge power sitting on your lazy arses well everything else picks up your slack with your extended breaks and moving watching all night.
What's next on the chopping block? Everything was sold in a fire sale to pay down debt. Power is hemorrhaging cash, Aviation is stuck in a nose dive, Renewables can't get out of its own way, the plug is pulled in Digital, and Healthcare is on life support. The last man left needs to turn off the lights and close the door.
Anyone who went back couldn’t find a job that made what they are making at GE now. In due time they will be forced on layoff and back to flopping burgers. We the D rates are set, we have a pension until they buy it out. We make roughly $10 more an hour than you Unskilled T Rates. Most T rates came from making $10-$15 an hour to GE in 2011. Now look at the place. I blame the T Rates & the greedy useless CEO’s and the over priced management team for the failure of GE. Smoke and mirrors until the great layoff of 2020.
Are layed-off employees getting usual severance package?
This is important information we need to know for contingency plans, if layoffs are coming to my unit...

You forgot to state "what is the total debt for GE." vs the net worth of the company.
I felt bad in 2018 but if you went back you have nobody to blame but yourself!
Does anybody think GE will use this to rid themselves of the multiple tier pay scales and level it out? Not by bringing the lower earners up, but by bringing the higher earners down. D rates brought down to T rates.
No bankruptcy in the near future. GE is sitting on $50B cash (probably reserved for exec bonuses)
Bankruptcy in the horizon for GE? Better option.
I expect comparable cuts are coming to Power. Orders being cancelled or delayed. The weak order numbers just keep getting worse. We didn’t get nearly enough “volunteers” so the involuntaries are up next. Pay reductions are off the table so there are few options left. God have mercy on whomever loses their job in this environment. It could take years to find a comparable...
Power has been having layoffs every year since before Barbara Bush retired as CEO. What’s that...5 years running? OF COURSE Power is on the chopping block!
Of course it is, us id–ts that decided to take another chance with ge are gonna get screwed over again.
