Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Glassdoor rating 4 but associates feel insecured?

Schwab glassdoor rating shows 4, hoe come when people feel insecure about there jobs? I feel glassdoor ratings are manipulated and not real. Why they hire more people, when they want to fire loyal staff? This all shows Schwab don’t care for their associates, culture is fearful.

You realize the Glassdoor rating of 4 is out of 10 right?

I was a victim of the September layoffs. Notice how so many of them were 50 or older ( a burden on health insurance premiums) and/or with ten years or more seniority (sabbaticals, 4 weeks off and endless sick time)

So, if you’re in those categories, you should keep your eyes open.

And yes, they did dump some younger employees to avoid age discrimination. Mainly chuckleheads who were already on written warning.

Well, associates here at Schwab, are grade 52. Basically loser, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. Level 60s, which is director level, and you see titles (abbreviated) like TD, TP, MD, MP, and SMD are more secure. Level 58, which are senior staff, probably don't care either way, and probably can get a job elsewhere, especially if you have survived all these years, or have come in recently which have more normalized and stringent hiring screenings. Level 59, leads, are a-ok too. So you are left with 52s, the associates, and 54s, the staffs. Nervousness usually comes from those grade levels.

And lets be honest. A layoff is coming, and its coming big. Huge cuts. I know the VP of the Schwab Integrity Unit is not going to agree, of admit the truth, but that is going to happen.
