Any chance of resource planning/budgeting this month for contractors or FTEs?

Good luck to all Morrisville layoffs. You have ~3 weeks until the axe falls. The difference between last year and this year? There were jobs to get. Companies have not started their layoffs yet and there is a freeze on hiring. It is going to be much worse for those that get kicked out. The other issue? Cash. They don't have to provide severance. They could use CV19 as the reason to only give 4-weeks. IBM did it and others had followed suit. Since they will not get any bailout money, they would rather drop everyone and dump them to the unemployment line. Instead of layoffs, they may just furlough and end the positions. That eliminates a lot of issues for them as well.
There are not a ton of other options in North Carolina.
Why in God's name would anyone outside of Asia work for this toxic sh!tpile of a company? They treat you like a disposable slave and expect you to be grateful. Absolute rubbish culture.
Managers are being asked to submit one or two people per team for layoffs. Expect an announcement before the beginning of June. Obviously this does not include managers of any China-based team, which are being asked to expand and take over responsibilities from the shrinking US teams. Cost savings!
Yes, but small. Will depend on area but 10% reduction in salary expenditures is already baked into the budget so I'm not sure if that's a headcount reduction (probably) or an actual salary reduction across the board.
