Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Gteed

This company is looking to have employees back as soon as May 7. Yes there is a lot to do to prepare for the limited opening around the end of the month. But it could be accomplished with in a week at most. I for one would be happy to return but I also belive they are jumping the gun. They should wait until the middle of the month two weeks till opening. June 1st is probably the date set.

Looks like Discovery Cove and SEA-TX may be the first parks to open

No way SEA opens on May 7th. A significant amount of Personal Protective Equipment and sanitizer must be purchased for Ambassadors; that's in addition to any new training.

No need to guess when SEA-FL will open; just watch Disney World. When Desney opens, we will open.

Just remember, the same country that made your PPE is the same one who gave you COVID-19.

No way they start calling employees back that early. Even when we clean up from hurricanes it doesnt take that long unless there was major damage to infrastructure and that is not the case here. I took a quick look and maybe I missed it but i only ever saw phase 1 of the florida reopening plan starts monday and there was no info beyond that of what the next steps would be. For all we know, were gonna start to reopen then slide back again.
