Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Everyone being laid off in NLRK should fill out a Glassdoor review on the way out to let the world know what a POS lance and company is

He’s at 7% approval but should be zero.

iIt definitely bothers you that the data shows UP is not a good place to work and people are smart enough to seek guidance from other people's experiences. You seem to be in denial that UP can't recruit the type of applicant they used to because they have tarnished their reputation. You obviously have drank the Kool-Aid and wasted too many years at UP to make a change. However, others won't make your mistakes.

It doesn’t bother me at all that it exists. I just choose not to base decisions on what it says. That seems to bother you.

you do you buddy. it obviously bothers you that glassdoor exists. most people will follow the data. with thousands of observations, it is most likely reliable.

True. I’d base my life’s work on what over emotional numb skulls have to say on Glassdoor. Why on earth would I trust my instincts and wherewithal? No. I’ll stick with Glassdoor to chart my course.

People, those Glassdoor reviews are having an effect within the company. How do you think the UP got the worst company to work for rating. It got it through reviews through various sites like Glassdoor.

@vah The irony is the only place that would hire a cashier as a financial analyst or any of your other dumb examples is Union Pacific. They hire guys with fake degrees and make them VPs of entire regions of the country. Probably some of your friends if not you.

But true story. You can actually be qualified to do such a job as a financial analyst. If you are, then you will not go to a company with a 7% approval rating.

True story. There are tons of good paying jobs all over the country. They’re everywhere. Cashiers are now working as financial analysts. Delivery drivers are now aerospace engineers. Pet groomers are now CEO’s of major corporations. My landscaper just took a job as a tech rep for Boeing. It’s a free for all getting those jobs. Why would any of these folks take a job at UP when they can be highly paid professionals anywhere they choose?

Yes what you are describing is someone that is in desperate need of any job. And that is the only type of person that will come to UP in 2020 thanks to their CEO having an approval rating of 7% not to mention old fashioned word of mouth.

People that need a job will take a job. It may not be the #1 in class but it may be the number 500 hat turns out to be a diamond in the rough. The #1 guy might be a crybaby that now on his own that turns into a lightweight and a drunk. Happens all the time.

It is one of #1 sites people go to to review a company when considering working there. A low review rating keeps people from joining the company. It makes enough of an impact for Omaha to beg people to do positive reviews.
