People are being furloughed? From what departments?
OP links to Daily News. Not the NY Post.
They 100% did not set aside 100 million for production crews. HR is telling the permalancers/freelancers that were let go (almost a month ago at this point) that the fund has “yet to be finalized.” Not to mention the foundations they supposedly donated to aren’t giving out grants or financial assistance yet because they’re “waiting to hear back from CBS regarding details”. They laid off hundreds without putting any sort of plan in place yet decided to go ahead and fluff up their press release to not look like absolute monsters. Shameless.
There's definitely some sort of backchannel communication between someone high up at Viacom and the NY Post. The Post regularly publishes stories that paint Viacom in a favorable light.
Why would he pay out of pocket when Viacom set aside 100 million for production crews (according to press reports).
ViacomCBS is also advertising that Noah is doing it, so there's that.
Why would ViacomCBS be behind this when they’re own senior leadership is still earning earning full salary?
If anything, he’s calling them out while planning his eventual move to Netflix.
If that's true he's a really good dude.
Curious how the NY Post found this out. Noah is a good dude but I question the validity. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is a ViacomCBS propaganda initiative.
