Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

What about the next week?

It's the end of the week and month - does this mean we are done with layoffs? At least for now?

It is just the beginning. 2/3 good people will be layoff.

Look for a phone call Monday. I just got a call from my boss apologizing and said I will get the call Monday. Apparently the furloughed employees at NB main campus will be hit hard.

They have to do it piecemeal, otherwise it overwhelms HR, you know the id–t(s) that slip on the bottle when they get up in the morning. Remember HR = human remains. They protect the company not the employee. Most do nothing.

And JM said on the last earning call , we have 50,000 employees. So we cut 5,000 during q1

Per the email from the CEO. Through the 1st of May. I’d say till May 15th or so. They aren’t going to keep going on for months and months. I don’t know why people keep saying this. We have let almost 9,000 people go since January. That’s an almost 25% cut. We aren’t going out of business. It’s a downturn, not the end of the company. We had 55,000 people Jan 1st.
