Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Positive Message!!

There is life after Windstream and we all know the senior leadership, including our CEO, make poor decisions. I don’t want anyone else to lose their jobs but this company is not a good company to work for. I hope everyone who is impacted finds employment with better senior leadership. I hope we all get the chance to work for a company that actually cares about employees and appreciates the work we do. They exist.

The future at Windstream is not bright or promising - I hope everyone coming here for answers and information is able to someday work for a place where visits to a Lay-off website aren’t necessary.

Cheers and stay safe!

Reality check time - NO ONE has 'a solid future here at WIN'. Very shortly, WIN will be G-O-N-E

Hey "AB" , you said this> "When she came to WIN to brought me with her and put me in a good mgr spot. She has had my back ever since. So I do have a positive attitude and feel I have a solid future here at WIN." Now just think about this for a min or so. You just told everyone that you got your job because of who you know, not because of what you know. I can't stand other people who ride the coat tails of others. Guess what, when SB goes, that means you go also. Enjoy the ride. You will have to go find another coat tail to cling onto. How do you sleep at nite?

And Unity somehow still uses Windstream employees to manage all their properties and network. Free labor. I’ve questioned this several times. I am a net tech that gets dispatched to sales offices for hvac issues. Windstream facilities somehow works from home and just dispatches us. Been that way for years

The reason most managers aren’t seen or heard from at WS is that a lot of them are just collecting a check and already working for unity. The top level has been working at both places since TT came aboard in order to be the front man for the brothers. The G brothers are the ones manipulating this sh_t show quite well actually. They’ve been able to manipulate and control two companies and the federal bankruptcy courts. And no, of course there’s no graft or payoffs going on here. Just innocent investors being given the shaft by corporate greed in America, where we value the right to rip people off.

Hahaha AB - keep letting others think for you. That motto fits perfectly with management at Windstream. I’ve had 7 different directors within the last 1.5 years. Only half of them are around today and I haven’t heard from my boss/director since he took over 3 months ago.

Update, manager still has not responded to my emails and VMs regarding my resignation so I did not go into the office as required today and nobody seemed to notice. I think I am done showing up to Windstream, lets see how long the free checks last!! This place is a ghost ship, nobody has seen or heard from management in several weeks in many departments. Many think the doors may just close in the coming months. I’ve never heard of such absentee management. No managers, directors or VPs seem to even work here anymore.

Management of all levels at windstream couldn't buy a clue. They are clueless and useless. I worked here until later off in Nov. Have been in this industry over 30yrs. Worked for many companies. Windstream was by far the lowest. Worked NYC/CT/Ma area. Management was horrible. Only worry about numbers not employees or quality of work. Have never worked for such bad mgmt.

All you negative people have no one to blame but yourselves. I work out of Twinsburg and report to IT Director SB. She has been nothing but honest and respectful to me. I feel I can trust her when she tells me that I have no worries about keeping my job. Yes, we did work together in another company before coming to WIN but that has no bearing on how we work together here at WIN. When she came to WIN to brought me with her and put me in a good mgr spot. She has had my back ever since. So I do have a positive attitude and feel I have a solid future here at WIN.
Thank you for your time

I’ve worked in telecom for 30yrs, so I am used to employee turnover. But I’ve never seen anything like I do at Windstream. They bought the CLEC I worked for, I finally had enough and submitted my resignation 1 week ago but I have not see or heard from my manager in nearly 2 months. HR is useless, said I have to get a hold of my manager but I have been calling and emailing daily, my 2 weeks notice is now a 1 weeks notice per HR and I will forfeit my PTO and never be able to work at Windstream again, lady was nasty in the phone expecting me to push out my start date with my new employer, laughable. I’m gonna stop coming in, lets see if they keep paying me hahahaha

Amen to this. This is a company run by truly garbage human beings. Their only concern is bumping up their bonuses. There is a special circle of hell for these scumbags, I hope.
