How come we haven’t seen senior leadership take pay cuts to stave off people losing their livelihoods? Instead that CBS Joe I guy gets a huge payout (like Phillipe Dauman before him). It’s outrageous we haven’t seen Bob, Chris and the others take a slash to their overpaid salaries.

Just because these layoffs weren’t covid related doesn’t change the fact someone at the top could have taken a pay cut to ensure no employee was kicked out on their a– during a pandemic. These cuts could have easily been put on pause for longer than a month. They got greedy when numbers continued to drop and didn’t even have the decency to finalize their financial funds for laid off employees before they slaughtered all of the departments.
Also most of these layoffs were planned because of the merger not because of covid. Totally different situation they were never trying to save jobs. That’s not what looks pretty for Wall Street. Stocks are responding well to the bloodbath. Google it. “Revenue Synergies” are working out for them.
B/C they work so hard to deserve those outrageous salaries, stock gifts, etc lollllllll
