Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

Glad I quit!!!!!!

It was about two years ago since I quit Ricoh and boy am I ever glad I did! Although most of my coworkers were fantastic people to work with the company was clearly failing in vision for future products and services. I mean when I first started working there there was a letter from headquarters saying there would be no bonuses for a very very small bonuses. I thought things would pick up but they never did. I decided to pack my bags and walk out the door and never looked back. It’s scary to leave a job but I’m very glad I did leave and found an even better opportunity. Wish you guys all the best and I hope if you stay there things get better or if you decide to quit like I did I hope you find better opportunities!
Cheers!

If you have the ability to approach electromechanics in a formal sort of scientific way ,when needed, then you can apply that to any machinery. Find any maintence field that interests you. I would focus on newer and growing technologies. That's where you'll find growth ipportunities

I curious. What kind of job did those that left this industry go to? I’ve been thinking of leaving for a long time, just trying to figure out what kind of career would fit a copier technician.
