Getting laid off GE Lynn Aviation Engineering

Just got the meeting from HR. I’m not sure when other meetings are coming.

Apparently somebody doesn't know anybody who retired from GE back when your healthcare was promised for life. Do yourself a favor and seek one out. Ask them how that promise turned out.

I work at strother, and as long as I have my job for 3 more years, I don’t care. I’ve been here 35 years and will be glad to get my nice rich retirement. Ahhhhh

I've talked to personnel at other Aviation sites and layoffs were extended for hourly. It looks like permanent layoffs are coming in May or June for some. Business is bad. GE Capital Aviation Services even canceled 69 orders for the 737 Max. That equals canceling 138 engine sales from GE Aviation.

I work in engineering and got the news I was laid off as well. My manager said there are talks of a second wave of lay offs.
