Sure but that's nearly impossible to prove in a job provided at will. Since you can't prove what was going on in the mind of the manager who fires you they can use whatever criteria they want to fire you. Unless they're going to go all James Bond Gillian explaining in detail their thought process there's nothing you can do.

Lowe's will do as little as possible and if you go Ina group as per the article you are at risk of being fired for organizing. Which I would welcome but I'm likely in the minority there.
