Does anyone know why does baker hughes never issued a cease and desist Letter to Salof. We purchased salof in 2013 in hopes to enter into the LNG and CO2 business. We acquired the facility and technology. In 2017 Salof Ltd. (Same owner) was formed again competing against us in CO2 and Lng market. Does anyone see anything wrong with this? . why wasn’t the contract written so that Salof cannot compete against baker hughes? This must be the worst decision we had ever made. We paid millions for Salof acquisitions. now they break off and are direct competitors and then are currently stealing their former employees back.

Obviously you have not been with Baker that long, otherwise you’d know that Baker has a team of highly skilled experts that assess any potential project and ask the question “can we make an absolute, utter cnt of this?”. If the answer is yes, the project moves to planning, where another team of skilled experts are charged with the question “how can we make an even bigger cnt of this?”. Once you understand this ALL of Baker’s big ideas and initiatives make sense.
This is the most absurd story I’ve heard!!! Surely Baker Hughes should have a clause in their contract that will prevent competition!! The contract managers are at fault!!!
Perhaps Salof will buy Baker. There, problem solved.
On top of that, presently Salof Ltd. advertises years and years of experience with LNG and CO2 and take credit to the existing plants they had built before the acquisition . Baker hughes acquired all of that in 2013, so technically Salof cannot claim credit to these plants since Baker Hughes acquired Salof and we purchased all of their technology. How was Salof able to reuse their name? At least they should have filed a new name. They still are using the same Salof logo as well. Can baker hughes do something ? In addition several potential customers are reaching out to Salof Ltd for their past experience on the plants that we acquired their technology from and are bypassing us. I have tried to reach out to Lorenzo, but no one has done anything.
