I keep reading that Coca-Cola laid off 700 people, but it seems to me like that number is much higher than that? Anybody else feels they are lying about the final number?

Coca-Cola Consolidated is furloughing 700 workers, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Charlotte-based bottling company cited the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the furloughs.
The employees will be furloughed beginning Monday, documents show. The furloughs are expected to continue through June 21.
The furloughs represent less than 5% of the company’s 17,000 employees, the filing states.
Coca-Cola Consolidated has over 2,200 employees in the Charlotte area, of which 200 are now on furlough, company spokesman Brian Nick said.
Coke Consolidated, headquartered at 4100 Coca-Cola Plaza in Charlotte, is the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the U.S., according to the company’s website.
The company operates 13 manufacturing facilities and 76 distribution and sales centers in the Southeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, according to the website.
Reports from employee's are indicating a much high number of staff impacted.
