I'm so tired of both customers and coworkers who think the mask is there just to be an accessory, I guess? If it's around your neck or on your chin, it is useless to both you and those around you. How hard is that to figure out! What's the point of mandating mask-wearing when people are not even trying to pretend to be doing it right?

As a former nurse that has worked in the TB isolation units in a major hospital, if you can smell an odor (other than your bad breath) while wearing any mask, the mask is not working as it should. I managed to have a few pollen masks that I use when shopping. Not ideal but better than the cloth ones which are a joke. The cloth will do nothing to protect you from any virus. No it is not better than nothing ..........it is as if you had nothing on. The gap between the fibers is much too large to filter out anything other than large dust particles. Even asbestos will go through cloth.
Not sure how effect wearing a mask that is not N95 really is. But I do know it is extremely miserable wearing one for 9 hours a day. Hard to breathe and just wait until summer when it’s 95 outside plus humidity and lovely Walmart can’t provide proper air conditioning. Gonna be awesome wearing a mask then!!
No, it's just to make us feel better-like we're trying to do something about it. N95 blocks 95%, letting 5% through. The other ones are 50% or lower. So this IS an annoyance and the sooner it's lifted, the better!
People, please read up more and cut this "N-95 or bust" c-ap. ANY mask will help protect other people from you. And if others wear it, then you'll be better protected as well. No, it's not ideal, no it's not complete protection, but it reduces your chances of getting the virus because most of the usual discharge from the mouth when people talk - not just cough or sneeze - is blocked by the mask. Masks work. Any masks. Please look at the number of cases in countries that instituted obligatory mask-wearing right away and those that didn't. The difference is obvious. And I'm not saying it's the only reason the numbers are so different, but the majority of experts agree that it played a role.
They’re useless anyway enless it’s a n-95 mask plus you need a face shield for your eyes!!! It’s a control thing. You’re not safe read up on it.
