Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Wanna bet this is what happens here?

Bed Bath & Beyond has closed its stores but still requires all of the employees to show up for work. To closed stores. For what, I'm not sure.

How much do you wanna bet Marvin will do the same thing if heavens forbid some of our stores are actually mandated to close during this whole mess?

Bed bath and beyond sent their workers home on Friday till April 5. They cleaned the stores from top to bottom. Received 3 or 4 more trucks to fill up. Paid their people 2 dollars more a hour plus 5 hours overtime. Paying the regular pay till April 4th.

It matters what your work is doing. If your job paid $50 an hour and all you did was handwrite the entire dictionary you'd eventually grow to hate it. If you made good money digging holes and filling them in again it would end the same way.

People want to feel like they're doing something that helps. Call it sunk cost fallacy or just human psychology if you want, the result is the same.

What does it matter? You’re working and getting paid.

I’d be fine with that as well. My department is a mess ever since they started this overnight one task team. They put the freight up all over the store. The concept of top stock being above where it is on the floor is lost on these people.

Hey I’d be totally fine with that! I don’t mind working and want to keep bringing a paycheck into the house. My only issue is working around the people who crowd into our store and don’t understand keeping a safe distance.
