This whole pandemic has not only revealed how greed can affect the decisions of corporations, but how society in general can be self-serving and careless. Hoarding toilet paper and food, ignoring social distancing, bringing your kids with you to shop for non essentials in a crowded store. Keeping your stores open in the evening (even to 8:30) and exposing your employees despite pleas from health officials. How is working in a crowded retail environment any different than a crowded restaurant? Unfortunately the repercussions could be severe in the coming weeks.

One of our cashiers applied for the two weeks to take care of her three children who are now at home. She was denied and told “your husband can do it “.
I had a doctors note and I was told they would be really disappointed if I used it,
I recommend to all, get a Drs note, and go out with pay for 2 weeks.
So true, it’s either old people or families with kids. They are so rude and impatient as well.
Thursday, the day Home Depot started closing at six, the our stores highest grossing day ever in the 17 years the store has been open. It was mostly mulch and paint we sold. We are out of essentials like TP, hand sanitizers, Lysol wipes, and bleach.
It seems people are stock piling supplies so they have something to do when the government shuts everything down. They certainly aren’t heeding the instructions to stay home.
What is really amazing is most of the customers are over 50 years old!!!
