Wish I could say I'm surprised, but it's BBB. They've never given a sh– about us. In less than 3 hours, N.Y. is going on lockdown. All nonessential employees are required to stay home and yet BBB is still going to make people go in. And apparently they made some homemade slips saying we can go to work. F— this company. I've given so much to this place for too long while all they do is sh– on us. I'm ready to watch this company burn down to ground.

Listen, not for nothing, I was with bbb for a long time and loved the company (past tense) and now I hate the company more than most. But come on..... as an employee, are we really hating on them for wanting you to come to work to get paid? No one is forcing anyone to go to work and honestly... I know of a lot of places where people I know WERE employed because places are using this pandemic as an excuse to lay people off... I will never EEEVVVVEEERRR stick up for bbb, but take a step back and look at the bigger picture here. It’s easy to say they should close up shop and pay everyone 100% etc etc etc but you do understand that that would mean the company would be 10 step closer to shutting its doors because they are still paying everyone’s full salary and receiving 0 income? Website shut down stores shut down.... use common sense. Don’t go to work if u don’t want but don’t complain about not getting paid. Most people can’t have it both ways and there are WAAAAAAAYYYYYY more companies not paying people for quarantining themselves than ones that are. Grow up and see the bigger picture outside of your own little box. Once again..... I hate bbb but this is not on them.
You people are misinformed. You don’t have to go in....it’s a choice!! Either way bed bath is paying 100% of salaries if you go in or you stay home. Stop spreading lies.
My daughter got a note from homeland security for a grocery store. They made theirs up. I hope they get fined.
OK- I could see this BS all coming at us like a train wreck about 2 weeks back. Fortunately I have a decent store mgr who errs on the side of caution as I have a condition that puts me at very high risk.
I asked my lead on my side why the pillow samples were not pulled. Got the answer "why?" Problem is too many married to company an unable to go anywhere else.
District support got canned a couple of weeks ago. I am told since I had a Dr note that I will get some compensation. I am PT and won't get unemployment that I can see.
But I feel very bad for those made to work and think it is obscene, especially when higher ups are working from home. Sadly, this company is known for this.
As of 3/23 are stores are closing, yes, but only to customers.
Report them to the state for defying a lock down order.
According to management, conference call today said still only closed to customers not for employees. And you obviously haven't worked for the company long enough to see how they really are.

It’s great that they are still allowing us to collect a paycheck. I am proud to work for them.
