Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

Boeing nosedive will affect Nordstrom in WA. Layoffs?

The symbiotic relationship between Boeing and Nordstrom, especially in areas like Alderwood and Everett, will definitely play out again like it has in the past. When Boeing falls, so does business for places like Nordstrom and Alderwood Mall. While Nordstrom is not directly tied to Boeing like SpirtAero, if slowdowns and layoffs happen at Boeing, there will be a downturn at luxury retailers like Nordstrom and an uptick at Walmart

I'm worried for my job. My sibling was "downsized" by Nordstrom during a previous economic "hiccup"

Nordstrom should start supplying US military uniforms, bags and DoD will send bailout. Boeing has the defense advantage.

Boeing is obviously headed for bankruptcy and receivership. Who knows what if anything will remain of the Commercial Airplane Division when the dust settles.

This of course means a deep depression for the entire Puget Sound area.

With the evil 737 MAX and the corporate stock buybacks, their fate is deserved.
