Rude and entitled customers everywhere. I’m pulling a 12 hour shift because the opener and closer are off on a two week vacation at company expense and I’ve got some “veteran” barking at me about being slow. You’re supposed to be at home grandpa not shopping at Lowe’s.
Absolutely rude entitled customers coming into the GC. Demanding we mark down plants for them and threaten to complain to corporate because we told them mark downs were not a priority at the moment. That's right Lady, have my job because you didn't get the clearance plants! I have had it!!
Our store won't call in any extra help; customer centric scheduling at it's finest. All day long it's "code 3, code 3, code 3." Anyone who can help is up to their elbows helping Karen pick out flooring, new appliances, doors, paint, window treatments, and who knows what else.
Lowe’s remains open and even has a paint sale to encourage customers to come in. The first day of the paint sale was also the first night that depot closed at six. The one paint associate was completely overwhelmed by the rush of customers.
Any cleaning that is done in our store is just for show, we have no cleaning supplies and haven’t for several weeks. I’m pretty sure that the third party cleaning crew has stopped coming as we have cashiers cleaning the restrooms after closing.
The only thing my Lowe’s is selling is bags of mulch and paint; chest freezers are gone as are the cleaning supplies.
I am not a fan of Lowe's, but they do need to stay open to some degree as does Depot. Stuff is going to still need maintenance and it is important for hardware stores to remain open, not to mention Lowe's sells many essential things like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towles, etc.
The problem is the hordes of people that are bored or just don't care and act like they should be out and about for no reason. I don't work for Lowe's anymore, but I do work for a large retailer. The amount of people that bring their whole extended family just to shop is astounding.
