Nordstrom Executive Severance Plan

Effective December 31, 2019

Section 16 Officers on the Executive Team
24 months of base pay
12 months
6 months

Section 16 Officers not on the Executive Team
18 months of base pay
12 months
6 months

  • Jeez 24 months of base pay? Maybe layoffs wouldn't keep me up at night if that's what employees got.

The main thing that stands out for me in the 10-K Annual Report is that they have redone and announced the Executive Severance Plan at the end of the report.

I don't know if it has changed from what it was. I don't know why it is here other than they may have approved some new guidelines for it. All I know is that no such section existed in any detail in the last several 10-K reports.

So something may be up – or not. You may read it and make your own conclusions.

I'm chillin' with hard cider and the newly-released Nordstrom Annual 10-K report tonight:

I'm going through the list of highlighted risks to the business, looking for anything new or newly-emphasized here.

Check it out. Post if you notice anything interesting in the statement.
