Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

KPI’s in the age of coronavirus

Posted something about this yesterday, but it was taken down because it posted multiple times. Techs are being held to the same kpi’s as if it’s business as usual. It’s not business as usual. Many customers have closed or employees are working from home or have reduced hours. We are repeatedly sent into virus hotspots like hospitals, doctor’s offices and places where social distancing just isn’t happening. All without PPE, unless you can provide your own. Some of us WILL get sick and bring the virus home to our families. All companies are going to suffer economically and their numbers will reflect this. Basically all of these companies will be given a pass over the next few quarters when they report. Ricoh needs to suspend kpi’s for now. I think people will understand why our calls per day have fallen off. Stop putting people at risk for numbers on a spreadsheet. Do something! Stagger schedules, encourage employees to take vacations and sick days, train at home, etc. just stop the micromanaging and make us feel like someone gives a damn for once!

They may have announced that they weren't using March kpi's, but old habits die hard. An asteroid could be headed straight for us and my manager would still be calling to check the status on a part order or asking us to do inventory!

This post is false, all KPI related results were waived for all of March and announced to employees and probably for April. Only Jan and Feb are being used for any Q4 results and quarterly bonus payments.

Really disgusting one two punch. Putting your employees in harms way and then holding them accountable to "business as usual" KPI's? Techs are having to navigate additional screening protocols of government and healthcare providers. Do you not understand this adds time to calls? Nice way to treat your people ricoh. What's that short samurai sword used for again?
