My husband and both daughters got laid off already. I am the only one working and making money now.
I am greatful for that. Otherwise we'd go homeless.
That's always been Lowe's. We've had management get extremely upset with an employee because they called out a lot... to spend time with their gravely ill child, who later died. The kid died and management was still holding a grudge.
After that none of this can surprise me much anymore.

Sad to say but for those of us that are stuck working in the stores for 40 hours a week and interfacing with hundreds of customers in that time that is accurate. BFD that they will pay me 80 hours of bonus sick time when I contract COVID-19. What is the company going to do for the rest of my family when I bring it home and give it to them? The answer is NOTHING. Just when you start to think that this company simply can't possibly fall any further they find yet another new low.
