Just got word from my coworker that shortly before I arrived management pulled associates to the receiving area and announced that 3 people in the store have the virus. The 3 associates were escorted outside a different exit door. Yet they still wont shut down this location.

They can close if they feel it’s warranted. We have closed for snowstorms usually happens right as the roads are clearing up they shut the store down. This is far more serious and involves more then just the employees safety.
Well come on in customers ! COVID-19 on sale now . Aisle 45 . Make sure you touch every rug and don’t buy , leave it laying on the floor for you friendly flooring associate to pick up . Here at Lowes we offer a safe and clean store .....
Our bathrooms looked like something out of a Third World country today.
We put garden hose and pressure washers in the empty spot where the toilet paper and paper towels were.
Our store has no cleaner to disinfect anything. We are unable to disinfect shelves, products, bathrooms, bathroom stalls, break room checkout counter and key pads and any thing else you can think of. Especially carts, Customers come in touching carts that other customers and employees have been coughing on all day And we have no way of cleaning them. Nothing we are selling is essential. Marvin claims he is a Christian well let me ask this of Marvin. Did Jesus send those that followed him to the cross for his own selfish greed? Or did Jesus himself hang on the cross himself for all human life? Marvin you will eventually have to answer to God himself for your greed. In the meantime we as employees need to band together and pursue a unsanitary and unfit working environment as well as shopping environment in this situation.

NY case is true.. was brought up on a mooresville call. Friend of a friend of a friend told me. Store will close at 10 instead of 12 now
Questioning the validity of this claim. Lowe's announced the case in TN. I have not seen anything about NY.🤔

My best friend has already contacted the media on my behalf because of they way Lowes is ignoring this problem both for our sake and the customer sake. How can they not see that by not taking care of things now that it will damage the company later?

I don’t know how much of essential supplies are still available at my store, but mulch (gardening supplies) and paint DO NOT qualify, and that’s what most shoppers are coming for. Common sense is definitely lacking at the corporate level. At the minimum, they must limit the number of customers in the building at the same time, just like Best Buy. It should not be business as usual. Guess what, corporate, when half of your staff get sick, you can’t legally fire them!! They will stay home/ at the hospital and you’ll still pay them regular hours. I’m documenting the unsafe working conditions at my store, and corporate should except legal action should anyone at my store contract the virus. Coronavirus is not a joke.

They need to limit contact with customers. Accept no cash, use self checkout exclusively when available and lock up non essential parts of the store like all of Garden
