It's another nail in the coffin. The dead trofee cabinet needs urgently expansion or a proper cleanout to make way for more impressive innovations soon-to-be-released. NKS aka No Kubernetes Support is exemplary for the top-notch innovation center coming from Silicon Valley's top legacy hardware vendor. Rember the old NetApp logo with the spinning disk poping out-of-the-box. Time to dust off the old logo and put it back where it belongs.

Anthony was doing a lot of talking the other day attempting to justify this decision. Whatever the “new cool thing” is that’s supposedly replacing NKS, etc.. it better be announced soon and NOT wait until Insight. The word from partners and customers alike is that NetApp is throwing things against the wall to see what sticks, and no real strategy. We need someone higher-up to prove them wrong ASAP, even if it’s roadmap. Consumer confidence is low, and moral even lower.

Anthony Lye spent a significant chunk of change on StackpointIO while blastting Red Hat Open Shift and then marketing and attaching the HCI strategy heavily to it. Anthony has gone through quite a few strategies, and his sales/field teams have paid for miss-steps. (NPS, CVO, Altavualt, OCI). People are paying for his mistakes. Hiring an Oracle manager to lead your cloud strategy was dumb. Lye is only out for Lye. Talk is that the HCI team is cutting majority of their BDM/SA resources end of FY as well as product teams. NTAP should of focused on partnerships all along.

Actually, the company is investing in K8 technology. It just didn't make sense to have its own proprietary version to compete with the public cloud players
