Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Are we getting paid only for the first week or ongoing?

I read here that someone said they were told to use PTO or file for unemployment after this week. I was under the impression we were being paid 28 hrs FT and 12 hrs PT through April 1st.

read the announcement carefully- we plan on shutting down until 4/1. Full timers will get 36 hrs per wk, Partimers 20 HRS.
If you contract Corona- you will be compensated/
IMO- Fair-

Lets hope we, as a company, can survive this travesty

Realizing that my just quoting SOME of the doc isnt adequate. To view it yourelves, please sign into Insite....scroll to the bottom of the page that your login takes you to........click on the "HR Policies" tile......scroll down to "Emergency Closures and Catastrophic Events" category....click on the link directly below it called Covid-19 Policy. Print it if it u wish to, I have.

Yes. The same 3 page doc delineating the specifics of pay that I just quoted from spells out exact and precise dates: 3/15-4/4

Has anyone been giving anything in writing stating Macy's will pay us through April 1st? If it is not stated in writing, then there is no proof of what way verbally stated. Macy's can always claim that nothing was said, or that their managers were misinformed.

This is the quote directly from Macys 'Policy Administration Guide Covid-19 Emergency Leave and Pay Policy'— "Our colleague's health is our main priority. To support colleagues, we have created an emergency leave policy that will remain in effect until deemed not necessary. Our intent with this policy is to provide all colleagues with two weeks pay in the event they are impacted by Covid-19 through illness or site closure." Then it goes on to outline (3 page doc) that FT will get 28 hrs pay while PT gets 12, but states this caveat: "In the event one or more of our locations closes for a period of time greater than one week to combat the spread of Covid-19 we will pay our FT and PT colleagues directly impacted by the closure for TWO weeks at their normal PTO rate." Of course this is then followed by this legal mumbo jumbo-"The Company maintains the sole and exclusive right to change, modify, or discontinue this Policy at any time with or without notice."

I was told ft gets 28 paid. Pt gets up to 12 and flex gets nothing. Problem is. You can go look for another job case everything is closed
