What’s everyone going to do now? Nowhere to go and no work that needs done. How do we prepare for bankruptcy from home?

And current management remaining are either too new and dumb to go or they're making way above market to stay. Especially in SC. Chesapeake is great at creating its own problems. Not so good at fixing anything.
First of all I am also a CHK employee. I too have worked hard and love this company; however, If Chesapeake gets a government buyout or subsidy it will de a damn shame. The problems we face were 100% brought on by poor leadership decisions over a long period of time. What about the hundreds of other independents who have collapsed or filed bankruptcy? CHK is not special, does not deserve special considerations. CHK is the poster child for “excess” and is now paying the price. It is long overdue and to think anything different is dillusiinal!
Keeping telling yourself that. Maybe you will be right and maybe the Corona Virus is a giant Hoax and maybe Saudi Arabia and Russia will stop impacting the global oil market and maybe the sky isn’t really blue and grass doesn’t turn green in Spring. Please!!!
I'm actually a REAL Chesapeake employee. Not sure why so many people post junk on this board. Things have been hard, but we're NOT going Bankrupt. There are some people talking to the Directors about exchanging debt, a possible merger and even working with Trump for some refinance options. Chesapeake will be here a while.
Get used to it. Virus or not we are not going back to work at CHK. I am updating my resume and ramping up the job search.
