You can only take what PTO you have earned. You start to earn it at the beginning of the retail calendar year, February and earn a little bit each completed month. In this crisis you can only use what you earned, even though you have 20 days of PTO, you may have only earned 1 and a half days (approx) for completing February.

If you cannot enter PTO yourself, put in a case in ASK HR and tell them what week you want it for. They told me that you can only receive one day of PTO per week when you are receiving emergency pay.

people remember you only have accumulated pto for the the first 3 months so far so use it wisley.
Not working Macy's West either. 4//19 earliest. HR won't do it. He said call the store as mgrs are working ???? in stores and ask my mgr. They should be cleaning and disinfecting stores instead. Yikes!!!!
Not working for Macy’s South region...first week available to enter PTO is week starting 4/19/20. I just tried to do it for any week prior to that and it is shaded out and blocked. The only way to get this changed is to have a manager change it for you.

I just did. It offers the option of PTO or unavailable days even for THIS week. Dunno why it isnt working for you.
You cannot do it yourself til April 19. What are you talking about? Maybe HR can do or mgr but you cannot do it yourself now through April 19.
They've actually opened it up so colleagues can self service the PTO themselves, even this week.
Your manager can put it in for you. Not like you can live off 28hrs.
Why use pto when the company is compensating you.
