Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Every employee that thinks they are exposed may consider spending time with the managers that refuse to let them get tested or take leave. If the manager thinks this is no big deal, maybe they should be the experiment. Let them lock them selves in their confined office breathing on one another.

It’s unconscionable how ignorant Lowe’s management is.

Our store is doing very little to protect us. We were told we could have “one” Clorox wipe per day to wipe the desk, computer, phone, and anything else we need to wipe down. Most of our customers don’t understand the distance thing. I had to ask several today to give me some space. One was so close I could smell his breath. Our management assures us that we will not be following HD in shortening store hours. I see no extra disinfecting, or cleaning. Our bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Most of the time we don’t even have paper towels in them. Marvin needs to get off his a$$ and do something. All it will take is for one associate to get it, and then it infects an entire store.

I get your concerns, if you stay home for 2 weeks do you think this will be over? Common sense, do what you got to. Stay home if you don't feel well. When working with customers stand back, don't shake hands. Most of our customers have the same fears and will understand. Clean your work space yourself. Our overnight team is cleaning all desk areas and registers where you can still smell the cleaning product at 9am. But I still clean my desk area myself to be sure. Some of the employees mostly cashier's are wearing gloves. A few are wearing mask. Same for our customers. Do what you got to do for your peace of mind but don't blame Lowe's. What Lowe's has offered is the same as most other retailers. I don't want my hours cut, but if I don't feel well i will stay home. The only thing I would like to see is maybe those that do work thru this pandemic be compensated for showing up to work.

Corporate feels a monkey can do your job. Therefore, you are not looked at as a human, you take money and put in your tin cup. Then, ask why they aren't using a Lowes credit card.

The coronavirus task force stated today hardware stores are essential. And specifically mentioned HD & Lowe’s.

That be said, MR. Ellison needs to get off his greedy A== and provide Real supplies & protections like Hand Sanitizer & Lysol in every department!!!!!!

They don't care. They will extract all the value our labor will provide them, and after that they're happy to discard us, dead or alive. All the older partially retired people working at all these stores... I get angry just thinking about what the cost will be.
