I work for HD. They will start closing at 6pm to the public on the 19th. Everyone will still work their shifts. This will give a chance to pack down, clean, etc. FT gets an additional 80 hours and pt 40 hours of sick/personal to use before the end of the year. If you have to be out for the virus you are still paid.

I would normally say shame on The MARVELOUS ONE and Chief Little-Hands, but it's impossible when you have none to begin with.

The store level employees are still required to come in for our shifts, potentially bringing us into direct contact with the infected. Corporate management, looks down from Mount Olympus on their subjects while safely bunkered down at the sterilized home office.

They "reach out" via web cam calmly saying "all is well" & "dear leader loves you and is proud of his floor level employees", calmly turning off the webcast and wiping his hands with the hand sanitizer pulled from the pallets diverted to headquarters for corporate.

Rather than showing corporate truly cares by touring the Store's throughout his empire, and encourage the floor level employees by holding town hall meetings to address concerns that the HR line REFUSES to answer, The MARVELOUS ONE can show true concern and care by selling back those THOUSANDS of shares of stock recently purchased thru questionable means and timing and use the profits from the sales and end establish an emergency employee plan for those who are or will be effected by the virus.

Undoubtedly employees with families have more than one in their houses, corporate REFUSES to answer the question if one family member gets sick, and the employee has to quarantine for the allotted 2weeks. Lowe's REFUSES to answer what if the has to call in more than one instance. Many employees have multiple persons living with them. Children easily pass colds from one to another, undeniably when one child is sick in a household siblings often are passed it by being in proximity. Corporate REFUSES to answer this question, what happens if this happens and employees have to call in multiple times due to situations like this.

Why WON'T CORPORATE ANSWER?

Oh MARVELOUS ONE while you and YOUR loved ones are safe in your recently Sanitized house consisting of supplies meant for the Store's, what about the rest of us

We will see what tune your playing when one of your loved ones or close friends in laying in the ICU or is fortunate enough to recover with permanent lung damage. Zero chance in hell our stores are being safely disinfected to prevent possible spread. It is socially irresponsible for Lowe's to be open 16 hour days and pretending it is business as usual. I have worked numerous hurricane recoveries, even when my store was force to run on backup generator for DAYS without the benefit of air conditioning, to serve my devastated community. I supported that but not this. This is pure corporate greed and is doing a disservice to both the employees and the community we are serving as it is going directly against what is being recommended by professionals. Our staying open expanded hours will backfire and accelerate our rapidly failing reputation.

It's not about staying open a couple of extra hours it's about limiting the time people are in the the store the more time spent interacting with other people the greater chance to spread corvid 19. Since people are to stupid to stay at home we literally have to take away the places for them to go.

Total, over reaction by Depot. No way it takes them that long to wipe down stores. We could stay open a couple hours longer and catch their traffic.

Marvin likes to copy HD if it doesn’t cost him money. Hopefully, he will follow suit. All eyes public and otherwise are now on him and Lowe’s.

If Lowe’s doesn’t follow suit it will be very bad optics for the company publicly during a National Crisis.
