I have heard with the right accountants taking losses and write-offs with chapter 7 - our pensions are gone.

Not sure how anything could be even in motion until the board meets in two weeks. Pretty much nonsense to speculate. We all know North America Ops is going to take a big punch.

Just the start of it alot of pay offs to come too.
Most companies are cutting 50 to 75% of there next 2 years work.
Already companies like Apache are saying shutting down 50% of there rigs that's tens of thousands out of work just from 1 company the back lash is service company's are not needed for possible the next few years even then then could go on and on with new oil forecast as around 40 dollars which is too low to even start any of these rigs backup.
Just going to be no work

Decom that everyone is going on about just gets put on hold too it happened the last time as oil company's dont make any real money out of it but can lose alot.
You need a strong business structure to support decom.
Also decommissioning now has about 100 companies all fighting over every contract with 40 companies now set up to only do this job as cheap as possible so the work ends up a small few jobs for about 10 people from Baker it's not going to save 30000 jobs .
