I’m no accounting or economic specialist here.... but the stores are EMPTY! Let’s face it, there is a GLOBAL pandemic. And no one up there sees the need to close the stores down? You’re losing money everyday that you take to decide how to operate under this situation. You’re risking your customers and colleagues health by keeping the stores open. SHUT IT DOWN! Someone in the higher ups really need to stop looking at those numbers and look at the bigger picture.
Either way the company is taking a loss. But take the loss for the right reasons.
I understand that colleagues compensation is essential and that might have a part to play in decision making. But there are a lot of dedicated workers who will stand by Macy’s to make sure we pick up where we left off. You are America’s store! And you need to be the leaders and set the trend of humanity and remind America why Macys is so great. ❤️

I like the panic – weeds out naked capitalists!!
Mall is NOT closed in my state. Our new hours have us closing an hour earlier than the mall itself. This panic is insane.
Our mall closed early on Saturday and the police had to come in a tell Macys to shutdown because they still had ppl working after the mall had closed. Macy’s is money hungry. The governor of our state would have to shut everything down in order for Macy’s to close its doors.
I wish certain demise on Macy's – a massive scam to draw monthly fat salaries.
The malls are closed....Macys is open. I bet the higher ups are sitting at home.
