What will you do in the next 4 business days? Wait for the next HP rejection? Explore opportunities? Feel sorry for yourself? Update your resume? Try to help “your company”?

Next up: March 2 tender offer. After that fails, it’s “please buy XRX” messaging from Mr. Activist who will follow his old brain playbook, telling John V who is nothing more than a “yes man” to make more cuts.
It’s getting tiresome.
Based on the poison pill announcement today by HP it looks like a dead end.

Everyone has their snacks ready for Monday? Should be very interesting. Best outcome requires no Icon layer. With him, it’s HPQ-XRX which is doomed, regardless of who is at the helm due to crushing debt and the coming reckoning of XRX business viability with the HP c-suite taking self-destruct level orders. I’d like to see Mr. Activist shrivel up and blow away and then have a competitor scoop up XRX when true valuation hits - I’d say $17. But given Wall Street Gordon Gecko mentality, that valuation may be 16+ months away as everyone is drinking the koolaid and ignoring all technical fundamentals. Should be fun to watch the street react as things unfold. Hopefully Tuesday will be a good marker of whether the March 2 tender offer has any legs.
I’ll be using four of my vacation days from my
allotted 30 per year..Ha,ha!
No worries, I left this company enjoying my new job it's great. Goodnight Xerox
Work hard and keep doing my job the best of my abilities. Still kind of new, so I enjoy learning new things and gaining experience. As always, I keep my eye on the job market, and when I see something interesting, I apply. Treating this job no different than any other.
I am going sit back and watch how this horror flick plays out. While I collect my paycheck.
The below post is AWESOME (and hilarious).
I work remote and was given notice for the end of this month so I’m going to sit back and smoke a massive blunt then send fake customer complaints to Xerox.com.
Yeah
Tough days ahead for those still at Xerox trying to look like they are so important they will never be removed. Good luck with that.
I’ll bank my severance and live off my wife’s money for a bit
Xoxo
My investor contacts tell me that the ruse has been uncovered (or finally admitted) by one large shareholder. I think they are referring to the XRX alarming business fundamentals and not the con-man CEO who made the “tech powerhouse” admission in public. Either way, this is a shoe drop that has been a long time coming. I hope they are talking to more than former XRX finance folks, such as Bloomberg, CNBC and WSJ.
my future will be the same either if we succeed with HP or not, outsourced, so im just waiting for a package and looking for jobs online.
My take: HP will announce earnings, which are legit. Xerox will need to continue to pretend the stock is worthwhile by inflating EPS. The only way they can do that is via layoffs or continued buybacks. Buybacks are problematic as cash is needed to address the hemorrhaging.
@oio+13zwKuPv thanks that answers my question as to the significance of the four days, however why would it accelerate the cuts? I mean I know Zerox is a dead company & will continue to cut but why would this accelerate it? Just curious.
@wmj: hi Carl. I think you meant to post on the HPQ thread.
Feb 24. HPQresponse to the ridiculous XRX offer. Once that occurs, XRX will undertake accelerated cuts.
Agree @ufe+13zwKuPv
I’m an employee and am all in for growing our company well beyond a hiccup of 4 days.
What up with the 4 days?
And for you naysayers: Xerox is returning stronger than ever! You can choose to ride this improvement or exit.
My money is truly on Xerox over Enrique. He’s too green for this agreement. More interested in what’s in it for him vs. what’s go’in happen
Can u please explain the significant of the four business days?
