Who feels more secure about this deal?
Honestly it looks good on paper but if it goes through do you really think dfa wants to keep all 44 plants online when milk consumption has been in decline ?. Also what will happen to locations that have been closed but still have trailers coming to them to load in to route trucks (depots) or satellite locations

DFA owns Kemps and Kemps ice cream and other dairy products are in far more stores around here then Dean Foods products are (despite their nearest plant being over 100 miles away and our plant being right here in town). So they either produce ice cream or pay a 3rd party to produce for them.
What location would that be ?
Well, simply based on the fact they wanted the ice cream business from one of the plants and not the fluid milk makes me think they're the most interested in the ice cream piece. Which, from what I recall, they do not currently produce.
