Frontier Communications (NASDAQ:FTR) has made its February bond payments even as it continues talking with creditors over a restructuring, Bloomberg reports.
Shares have jumped to their session high, up 3.3%.
The company made coupon payments on its 6.8% notes due 2026 and its 9% notes due 2031, according to the report.
And the company's bonds are trading slightly higher today, though several are still quoted under 50 cents on the dollar.

Bingo! About time someone exposed the “Lead to Supervisor” scam. The best talent keeps selling, unwilling to take a 2-3 year pay cut while being “groomed”. These candidates are mostly weak people that management knows that they can control. But most importantly these people will never one day in the future be a threat to them. It’s a brilliant job security scam that management has been playing for years. It hurts the company, it hurts the good talent, and ultimately it hurts the customer.
Can we also agree part of our failures as a company come from our inability to develop and place good, competent management. When promoting leads, we generally get the bottom of the barrel because we ask them to take less pay in the Frontier "pay for the opportunity" management philosophy. If you are a good rep there is little to no incentive taking less $ on center average so you get the id–t, bottom feeding yes men chugging the company lemonade cos....well its better than thier next job slangin big macs. We promote the bad to mediocre reps
or equally bad, externally poach from failed companies and expect competent leadership...insanity
Ordering lunch is always number 1 priority for Tampa mgmt.
To the dumbss Sup who thinks “ it’s all good in the hood” go eat another ordered lunch at the 30 meetings you have daily gossiping instead of leading. I’m tired of your horsesht you post daily. Get it through your skull we are done son!
mddb from ftr board lame cut/paste
BANKRUPTCY NEAR. LIARS.
I’m a lead at Frontier and I earn every penny I make. I help coach, inspire, motivate, and discipline reps on my team all day. I fix their unscrupulous sales order and I answer their dumb questions. All I expect is an occasional thank you.
Hey don’t short change our leads there buddy. They make $1/hr more, get center pay (god knows why because only one or two actually earn it), are instrumental when it comes to ordering or cooking food with our center manager (how many leads does it take to cook cheesesteaks?), and they can push a cart with the best of them.
Are people really this dumb? 18 BILLION in debt but people think we're posturing for a better restructure deal on the debt like we have any leverage. We have been hemorrhaging customers and revenue consistently since CTF (EVERY QUARTER), we dont answer questions for quarterly earnings, and again....18 billion. Wow, wake up children....this is Bloomburg, yahoo finance, etc...and they are a bit smarter than your dipshit "lead" making .25/hr more than you
Typical for a supervisor that's drinking their coffee to say those things, they still have to do business dumb dumb, keep dreaming and when it comes next month or later maybe u can enjoy your words that your eating. 17.8 billion isn't going anywhere- tells me there is alot of smart people leaving so they will need to hire people like you that are still lost...
I work in Tampa and can tell you that Frontier is hiring managers and supervisors like I have never seen before. The rumors of pending bankruptcy are just simply rumors. We have streamlined our services and are eliminating money draining cable TV. The future is internet and we are the industry leader in this category. Our stock price is improving as well. I’m a new supervisor and I am so excited if the things to come. Everyone just needs to stay positive.
There still could be upcoming BK, but this certainly is good news. Also the only reason this is news, is because of the media. FTR has always paid its bills.
If this isn’t a clear sign that we are NOT declaring bankruptcy, then I don’t know what is.
Last I checked companies are supposed to pay their bills. The fact that this even makes news just shows how pathetic and what a complete joke this entire company really is.
